Top 5 Favorite Things I Take Traveling (especially if I need to work)
As I was reading, I kept finding that it was fairly common for Americans to be pick-pocketed in Russia, and frankly, I ain't got time for that!
I usually don't carry a large purse or anything (a wristlet at the max), but I needed to be able to carry my documents with me at all times (apparently getting in trouble with the police there if you don't have your documents is not uncommon either) and the more research I did, the more I thought of things to carry with me so a wristlet wasn't going to cut it and let's face it, cargo pants are not the answer either.
So I searched and searched and found this...
#1 The Backpack/Purse Waterproof Nylon Anti-theft Lightweight Shoulder Bag
This is PERFECT for traveling! You cannot access the main compartment unless you remove the bag and are intending to open it, so if someone were to try while you are wearing it, you would DEFINITELY be aware! (But they probably won't try since you cannot even tell how to open it easily.) It comes in two sizes, but I went with the smaller one and I am continuously surprised how much I can fit in it! I feel like I'm Mary Poppins with her carpet bag! It's AMAZING!
I could even fit in my #2 favorite thing...
Apple iPad Pro (11-inch, Wi-Fi + Cellular, 256GB) - Space Gray (Latest Model)
I don't even know if I really need to explain why I love taking my iPad Pro traveling... I can use it for work if needed, it takes BEAUTIFUL photos and videos, great for entertainment on the plane (especially when your in a flying dinosaur), and many other countless reasons! More importantly, it fits in my traveling purse!
#3 and #4 really go with the iPad and using it and protecting it...
I've been mildly obsessed with rose gold things, so naturally I had to have this one (but it was a serious debate because it comes in SO MANY F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S color options! This case is a little bulkier then others out there, but I wanted a keyboard that would work with my iPad, as well as, a place to have the stylus and have all three together easily - and this option works wonderfully for me! (The stand options work well when I'm teaching too, since VIPKID finally updated their app so I can teach in landscape view and not just portrait!)
These are my go-to running headphones (I always seem to have issues keeping other ones in my ears), and they also work great if I need to work, or teach a class, so multipurpose items are always a win in my book!
Personally, I prefer the corded ones (that way I have one less thing I need to remember to charge), but they do also have wireless ones that work great too (when I remember to charge them😜)!
